Want to step outside your comfort zone? Interested in learning an art form used by Picasso? Join us for "A Class in Collage" with local artist Yasha Arant as your guide. In this class, participants will learn a brief history of collage, see examples of collage by famous artists, discuss the various types of collage (paper, wood, photomontage, decoupage), view a variety of collage approaches, discuss some basics of collage design, learn of the variety of source material and complete a decoupaged collage project using a 10" Ikea mirror frame as their canvas.
Fee for the 3.5 hour class is $25 and all materials and supplies will be provided.
Class date: Wednesday, May 31
Class time: 12:30 - 4 pm
Class Location: Great Falls Library
Class size: limited to 12. (If enough interest, class can be repeated in the summer. )
