Presidents in Unexpected Places in the DC area

As the nation's capital, our area has many memorials to presidents that tourists flock to, but in many cases, they aren't the original memorial to the president being honored. And all around the greater metropolitan area there are more obscure but interesting connections to numerous other presidents. This illustrated talk will detail the many such lesser-known reminders of our country's chief executives.

Bio: Ralph Buglass is a frequent speaker for the historical society of the Maryland county across the Potomac River, Montgomery History. He also teaches lifelong courses at several area colleges. This talk is drawn from one he teaches at American University's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute entitled "Off the Beaten Path in the DC Area." A retired communications professional, he has a BA in American history from Cornell University and an MA in journalism from American.
